Unbox It
One bundle is one pack. On average, 4 bundles are needed for a full head of knotless braids.
Prep it
Gently unravel the twist and separate the fibers into your desired sections. There’s no need to brush, yank, or comb the fibers.
Spray with water or oil as desired, keeping in mind that banana fibers are hydrophilic and naturally absorb moisture.
Braid It, Knot It, Trim It
The thickness of the fiber makes it easy to feed in, with fewer strands needed per braid.
This is a natural product; shedding is expected. Braid it down to the ends or secure it with a knot for best results.
Trim the flyaways as needed.
Do not wash before installation as this will change the texture.
Set It
The ends can be hot water set if needed but is not required. The temperature of the water does not need to be boiling hot; room temperature is fine. Steam also works really well.
Banana fibers are hydrophilic, meaning water-loving. The fibers absorb moisture, will feel hydrated, and will take longer to dry.
Shine It
Apply cloud9 setting and finishing mousse for best results. Add vegetable glycerin or another serum to the braids for added moisture and shine.
